New Delhi:Copper futures rose Rs 5.35 to Rs 1,343.85 per kg due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for August delivery grew 0.4 per cent in a business turnover of 1,207 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.

Zinc futures up on high participation

Zinc prices rose by 0.58 per cent to Rs 383 per kg in futures trade on higher bets by participants. Zinc contracts for August delivery edged up by Rs 2.20 in a business turnover of 557 lots. Traders attributed the rise in zinc futures to higher spot demand.

Aluminium futures fall on low bets

Aluminium prices dropped marginally by 30 paise to Rs 340.05 per kg in futures trade as participants trimmed their positions amid a weak trend in spot markets. Aluminium for delivery in August fell 0.09 per cent in 183 lots.
