Thesecond edition of Fusion AI Summit 2026, India’s premier AI summit on the East Coast, was organised on Friday with deliberations on some of the most important trends shaping the future of Artificial Intelligence, including:Agentic AI & Vertical AI – Exploring how AI agents are transforming enterprises, redefining industries, and shifting AI from assistance to autonomous decision-making while emphasizing responsible adoption and real business value.

The event organised by AP Digital Technology Industry (APDTI) Network brings together policymakers, global tech leaders, and industry pioneers to accelerate India’s AI transformation from vision to execution.

MSME and NRI Empowerment & Relations Minister Kondapalli Srinivas, who inaugurated the summit, emphasised that participating in forums like Fusion AI Summit by a large number of students, startups and innovators broaden perspectives and prepares young talent for a future where success will increasingly depend on skills and continuous learning.

He also highlighted the government's adoption of AI for real-time governance and citizen services, including AI-powered policy access through WhatsApp. The Minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to creating opportunities across sectors such as aerospace, defence, oil & gas, space technology, manufacturing, and circular economy while engaging the global Telugu diaspora to contribute to Andhra Pradesh's growth

In his opening remarks, Sreedhar Kosaraju, Chairman, APDTI Network, said that Andhra Pradesh is rapidly emerging as India's AI infrastructure hub, with nearly 20 per cent of India's recent AI and data centre investments coming to the State over the past two years. He highlighted the announcement of nearly 4 GW of data centre capacity by global and Indian players, including Google, Reliance, RMG, ReNew, and CtrlS, positioning Visakhapatnam as a major AI investment destination. He emphasised that the industry has now entered the era of AI Agents and Vertical AI, urging startups and enterprises to build AI-native, globally competitive products while ensuring AI remains ethical, responsible, and human-centric.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Suresh Batha, Additional Director, STPI, underscored the organization's unwavering commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship through incubation support, internship opportunities, industry collaborations, and open innovation initiatives. He urged students to become entrepreneurs and job creators rather than merely job seekers and emphasized that innovation, productivity, continuous learning, a strong reading habit, and disciplined execution are the key qualities needed to succeed and lead in the rapidly evolving AI era.
