Sleuthsof Tappachabutra police apprehended three persons in connection with an attempted murder case stemming from a family property dispute at Daibagh in Hyderabad on Thursday. According to police, the prime accused Mohammed Dastagir Shareef allegedly conspired to kill his sister-in-law Shameem Sulthana over property disagreements and domestic issues.

The main accused sought assistance from two accomplices, Ghulam Nabi Qureshi and Mohd Osman, to execute the murder plan.

On 27 July, the trio reached the victim’s residence on a scooter and gained entry.

Ghulam Nabi Qureshi attacked the woman with a butcher knife, assaulted her husband when he attempted to intervene, and chased the victim before stabbing her in the stomach. The assailants fled the scene after local residents gathered at the spot. Police recovered the scooter, weapon used in the offence, and other key evidence. All three accused were produced before the court and remanded in judicial custody.
