LankaDinakar, chairman of the Twenty Points Programme (Viksit Bharat–Swarna Andhra Pradesh) Implementation, welcomed the passage of the National Honour (Amendment) Bill, 2026 and the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Amendment Bill, 2026 in the Lok Sabha, calling them significant reforms under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said the National Honour Bill, which seeks to promote the complete rendition of ‘Vande Mataram’ and extend it legal protection similar to the National Anthem, is a fitting tribute to its author, Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay. He also praised the examination reform legislation for introducing stricter measures to curb malpractice and safeguard students’ interests.

Dinakar criticised the Congress, alleging it failed to engage constructively during the debate on the legislation. Referring to recent protests, he said those responsible for violence or unlawful actsshould face legal action, emphasising that the Constitution guarantees equality before the law.
