DevarakadraMLA G Madhusudhan Reddy (GMR) chaired the Mandal General Body meeting at the MPDO office in Chinna Chintakunta on Thursday and reviewed the performance of various government departments.

Addressing the meeting, the MLA emphasised close coordination with sarpanches for the effective implementation of government welfare schemes and instructed officials to complete pending development works within the stipulated timeframe.

He asked the Revenue Department to expedite the disposal of land-related issues and public applications. Stating that educational standards in government schools have improved under the Congress government, he noted that admissions in government schools have increased significantly. The MLA instructed officials to create awareness among sarpanches about the new MGNREGS works and to identify village development projects in consultation with local representatives. He also stressed the importance of water conservation and restoration of village tanks.

Directing the Health Department to ensure adequate availability of doctors, staff, and medicines in government hospitals, he also instructed the Agriculture Department to provide quality seeds and fertilizers to farmers on time.

He said quality power supply should be ensured for farmers and announced that new transformers, AB switches, poles, and other electrical equipment would soon be distributed through a mandal-wise programme. The MLA also called for speeding up the construction of Indiramma houses, ensuring uninterrupted drinking water supply in every village, strengthening veterinary services at the grassroots level, improving sanitation and civic infrastructure, and promoting horticulture crops among farmers.
