TheTelangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) stated on July 30 that it has been proactive in identifying and penalising erring college managements. TGBIE had earlier issued wide publicity across the state to curb unauthorised admissions and illegal operations, repeatedly advising students and parents to verify affiliation status before seeking admission. Following this, the Board conducted multiple inspections through constituted Task Force teams. Based on findings over recent months, severe financial penalties ranging from Rs 1.00 lakh to Rs 10.00 lakh have already been imposed on several non-compliant institutions.

TGBIE reiterated that it will continue conducting inspections through Task Force teams to ensure junior college managements strictly comply with prescribed norms. The Board noted that colleges failing to meet required infrastructural, fire safety, and academic standards have had their affiliations withheld for the current 2026-27 academic year. TGBIE emphasized that it remains fully committed to safeguarding the future of students while assuring that continuous monitoring mechanisms are actively in place. Any institution found violating prescribed rules will face stringent disciplinary and legal action, with TGBIE warning all private junior college managements across Telangana to adhere strictly to regulations without fail.
