New Delhi:Copper futures rose by Rs 2.05 to Rs 1,324.85 per kg on Thursday due to higher spot demand. On the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper contracts for August delivery grew 0.15 per cent in 1,657 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by partici-pants.

Aluminium futures up on high turnover

Aluminium prices rose by Rs 1.75 to Rs 340 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. The price of aluminium for delivery in August delivery edged up 0.52 per cent in 209 lots.

Zinc futures climb on fresh bets

Zinc prices rose by 0.57 per cent to Rs 378.65 per kg in futures trade on higher bets by partici-pants. Zinc contracts for August delivery edged up by Rs 2.15 in 488 lots. Traders attributed the rise in zinc futures to higher spot demand.
