Actingon orders from the SP, the police conducted a special inspection drive targeting vehicles without numberplates in the Pebbair municipal area.

Officers inspected vehicles in front of the local police station and at Subhash Crossroads, identifying over 70 operating without numberplates. They moved them to the station. Subsequently, the police educated vehicle-owners about road safety and regulations of the Motor Vehicles Act.

The vehicles were released only after new numberplates were fixed in compliance with rules and their importance was explained. Fines amounting to Rs 50,000 were imposed on motorists for various violations.
