ProfNV Ramana Rao, In-Charge Director of the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Tadepalligudem, has been appointed as a Member of the All India Board of Undergraduate Studies in Engineering and Technology, a statutory academic body of the All India Council for Technical Education. The appointment is seen as recognition of his academic leadership and long-standing contribution to engineering education. The Board plays a key role in formulating academic policies, strengthening undergraduate engineering curricula, promoting quality standards and aligning engineering education with national priorities and emerging industry requirements. Expressing his gratitude, Prof Ramana Rao said he was honoured to be entrusted with the responsibility by AICTE. “The Board offers an important platform to shape the future of engineering education through student-centric learning, outcome-based education, multidisciplinary approaches, innovation, research, entrepreneurship, skill development and stronger industry-academia collaboration,” he said. He added that he would discharge the responsibility with commitment and work towards improving the quality of undergraduate engineering education across the country.
