Inthe wake of allegations by YSRCP that the official machinery acts at the behest of the ruling party in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) electoral process, the district administration intensified checkups over the SIR process. With four days left for the conclusion of the electoral process, to be concluded on July 14, Municipal Commissioner YO Nandan conducted surprise inspection of SIR process at Old Municipal Office, Kukkala Gunta, Mahalakshamma Temple, Pinakini Park, Municipal Shopping Complex, and Archana Cinema Hall center in the city on Friday. He examined records and instructed supervisors and BLOs to work with commitment to ensure 100 per cent completion of the process within the prescribed deadline transparently.

The NMC Commissioner stressed that the digitisation exercise should ensure that every eligible voter is included in electoral rolls and guided field staff on various aspects of implementing SIR programme effectively at grassroots level.
