Thestate government has initiated formal discussions with employee unions to address long-pending service and financial issues, signalling a renewed effort to resolve grievances relating to pending dues, Dearness Allowance (DA), the Pay Revision Commission (PRC) and other employee demands.

As part of the initiative, finance minister Payyavula Keshav and revenue minister Anagani Satya Prasad held preliminary talks with leaders of the AP JAC Amaravati employee union at the State Secretariat on Friday.

The meeting was attended by AP JAC Amaravati chairman Bopparaju Venkateswarlu and other union representatives, who presented various financial and non-financial issues affecting government employees.

During the discussions, the ministers assured the employee leaders that the government was committed to resolving their concerns in a phased and systematic manner. They said the government intends to engage with all recognised employee unions to understand their issues before arriving at appropriate decisions.

According to the ministers, the preliminary meeting focused on identifying key issues requiring immediate attention, including pending financial benefits, DA arrears, implementation of PRC-related matters and other service-related concerns.

Following the initial discussions, the government decided to convene a comprehensive meeting with AP JAC Amaravati leaders at the Secretariat on Saturday to hold detailed deliberations on the pending demands.

The government indicated that it is adopting a positive approach towards resolving employee issues through dialogue and consultation, with similar interactions expected to be held with other employee organisations in the coming days.
