MLA Tudi Megha Reddy stated on Friday that development works worth Rs 2,147 crore have been undertaken in his constituency over the past 30 months, ensuring both development and welfare in tandem.

He noted that since assuming power, the government has been continuously striving to ensure benefits of welfare schemes reach every poor family.

Reddy participated in the 17th phase distribution of Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) and Kalyana Lakshmi–Shaadi Mubarak cheques at his camp office. He distributed cheques to the beneficiaries.

The MLA said he serves the constituency like a dedicated public servant, striving for comprehensive development of both villages and towns while ensuring every eligible family receives benefits.

The MLA highlighted the Congress glorious history of making sacrifices for the nation and the State. The party’s role in both achievement of statehood and subsequent development is unforgettable. He criticised the previous administration for ‘dictatorial’ governance in the district, noting it had made difficult for public representatives, party activists and citizens to meet leaders. He emphasised that people favour public representatives who remain accessible to them.

Alleging that the previous regime had burdened Telangana with massive debt, he stated that the Congress government—under the leadership of CM Revanth Reddy—is steering the State towards progress by balancing fiscal discipline with welfare and development.
