Endowmentsand Environment and Forests Minister Konda Surekha met AICC secretary in-charge Sachin Sawant at Praja Bhavan instead of Gandhi Bhavan on Friday, according to sources. It is learnt that the party high command advised Konda Surekha to remain silent and assured her that the party would take care of the remaining issues.

Sources said Sachin Sawant is expected to discuss the concerns related to Kadiyam Srihari next. The meeting between Konda Surekha and Sachin Sawant was kept private by both the party and the minister.

After the meeting, Konda Surekha reportedly received a phone call from Delhi advising her to remain silent and continue her work as usual and assuring her that the party would handle the matter.

It may be recalled that TPCC Chief B. Mahesh Kumar Goud had earlier said that Sachin Sawant and Jagga Reddy would gather information regarding the issues involving Kadiyam Srihari, Konda Surekha, and the Tungathurthi constituency and submit a report to the party. He said further action would be taken based on the report.

Mahesh Kumar Goud had stated that two senior leaders were appointed as observers to examine the issues. According to him, Sachin Sawant would look into the concerns involving Konda Surekha and Kadiyam Srihari, while Jagga Reddy would examine the Tungathurthi issue on Saturday.

Meanwhile, it is learnt that Minister Konda Surekha had raised objections over a review meeting conducted with Endowments officials at Boggulakunta. She reportedly expressed displeasure over Kadiyam Srihari conducting a similar meeting with officials from portfolios handled by other ministers.

Sources said Konda Surekha suspected that the meeting with Endowments officials by Kadiyam Srihari had a hidden agenda and hence she took the issue seriously.
