ChiefMinister Revanth Reddy surmised on Friday that, as the Bharatiya Janata Party is making efforts to pass the Delimitation Bill during the upcoming Parliament session, the state's Assembly elections would not be held in December 2028. He said the number of Assembly constituencies would increase from 119 to 182 and the Lok Sabha seats from 17 to 26, with the Assembly elections likely to be held in May–June 2029. Revanth Reddy asserted, swearing by Lord Rama of Bhadrachalam, that the Congress would win more than 117 of the 182 Assembly seats.

The Chief Minister appealed to people to ensure the Congress wins 20 of the 26 Lok Sabha seats from Telangana in the next parliamentary elections and urged them to support the party's efforts to make Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister.

Revanth Reddy was addressing a public meeting at Jagannadhapuram in the Madhira constituency of Khammam district during the distribution of the final instalment of the 'Rythu Bharosa', investment support for farmers. On the occasion, he launched a sharp attack on former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao (KCR), the Bharat Rashtra Samithi and the BJP.

Declaring that Congress workers would not rest until the ‘Kalvakuntla family’ was driven out of Telangana's political landscape, Revanth Reddy said: "During the last elections, I said that, regardless of BRS’ tactics, the Congress would win 65 seats. We secured 64 seats in the Assembly elections and won two more in the by-elections.
