New Delhi:Zinc prices fell 40 paise to Rs 375.50 per kg in futures trade as speculators reduced their exposure, tracking negative cues in the spot market. Zinc contracts for July delivery slipped 0.40 per cent in 895 lots. Analysts said the trimming of positions by participants, due to slackened demand from consuming industries in the physical market, mainly weighed on zinc prices.

Aluminium futures rise on fresh bets

Aluminium prices rose 5 paise to Rs 344 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. The price of aluminium for delivery in July delivery edged up marginally by 0.01 per cent in 739 lots.

Copper futures climb on firm demand

Copper futures rose Rs 3.05 to Rs 1,295.85 per kg on Friday due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for July delivery grew 0.24 per cent in 3,598 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.
