WarangalDistrict Library Organisation Chairman Meesala Prakash has demanded that MLA Kadiyam Srihari should tender an apology to Endowments Minister Konda Surekha for conducting a review meeting with officials at the Endowments Department office without informing her.

He said that holding such a meeting in the absence of the concerned Minister amounted to disrespecting her position. Prakash said that a senior leader like Kadiyam Srihari, with vast political experience, should not have conducted a review without the minister’s presence. He added that Srihari’s subsequent attempt to justify his actions was left to his own discretion.

Highlighting the political experience of the Konda couple, Prakash said they have over three decades of public life since the undivided State.

He stated that after the Congress came to power in Telangana, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Minister Konda Surekha have taken up development works worth Rs 250 crore for the Medaram Jatara, the largest tribal festival in Asia.

He further said that funds have been allocated for the development of several prominent temples, including Rs 100 crore for Vemulawada Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple, Rs 200 crore each for Basara, Kaleshwaram, and Bhadrachalam temples, along with special funds for the Bhadrakali temple in Warangal. He alleged that some individuals were making deliberate criticisms as they were unable to tolerate these developments. Prakash stated that the Konda couple never pursued politics for positions and had even sacrificed ministerial posts for the sake of the people. He recalled that former MLC Konda Muralidhar Rao had resigned from his post after being elected unanimously in order to join the Congress party. He emphasised that serving the poor has always been their primary objective.

He reiterated his demand that Kadiyam Srihari should issue a public apology to Minister Konda Surekha for his actions.

Former corporator Vaskula Babu, Jarati Ramesh, Somishetty Praveen Kumar, Bogi Suvarna, Suresh, Sandela Lazar, Saddam, Guda Sharada, Guda Mahender, Kyatham Ravinder, Ramakrishna, and Ramya Jaswanth Singh were among those present.
