Seniorofficials from the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday inspected the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls being undertaken across the district to assess the progress and transparency of the exercise.

Principal Secretary at the ECI Avinash Kumar conducted field visits to several polling stations and interacted with voters to verify the implementation of the SIR process.

The officials visited polling station No: 193 in the Visakhapatnam West assembly constituency, where they examined the electoral roll revision process.

They interacted with voters, reviewed the mapped electoral rolls in detail and clarified doubts raised by the locals.

Subsequently, they inspected the digitisation process at Visakhapatnam North assembly constituency and gathered feedback from local voters regarding the ongoing revision exercise.

The Election Commission team also visited polling stations 280 and 281 in the Bheemunipatnam constituency, where they reviewed the SIR exercise.

GVMC Commissioner Ketan Garg, RDOs Dilip Chakravarthi and Sangeet Madhur, Electoral Registration Officers (EROs) Gnanaveni and Madhusudhan, along with AEROs, accompanied the Commission officials during the inspection.
