Findingfault with the ruling government of resorting to irregularities in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR), YSRCP district president Kakani Govardhan Reddy and party city in-charge and MLC Parvathareddy Chandrasekhar Reddy warned the administration that it has to face legal action.

The duo has jointly addressed a press conference here on Thursday. Kakani Govardhan Reddy criticised that the administration was least bothered about the issue, despite his party submitted complaints to the district Collector. He questioned as to why either the Collector or Election Commission of India (ECI) didn’t initiate any action against Municipal Administration Minister P Narayana for his involvement in SIR procedures and BLOs, who turned at the behest of the ruling party.

MLC Chandrasekhar Reddy alleged that Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was more focused on political mileage instead of addressing public problems. He stated the ongoing SIR exercise is drawing serious public criticism at several places, alleging that TDP was using voter revision process to target YSRCP supporters.

He criticised that the district Collector and the Municipal Commissioner remained mute spectators, even though his party brought the issue to their notice with documentary evidences. He further alleged that TDP Booth Level Agents were participating in SIR process using colour-coded voter lists, which he described as a violation of election norms. He said they had already lodged complaints with the State Election Commission and the Election Commission of India and finally planning to approach court over issue.
