TirumalaTirupati Devasthanam (TTD) is gearing up for Brahmotsavam of Lord Venkateswara to be held from September. Due to Adhika Masam this year, the mega event will be held twice in September and October.

TTD Additional Executive Officer Ch Venkaiah Chowdary directed all the Heads of Departments to finalise comprehensive plans and ensure completion of all arrangements within the prescribed time frame.

Along with Joint Executive Officer Dr A Sharath and CVSO Murali Krishna the Additional EO held a review meeting here on Thursday.

He said Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams will begin from September 8 with Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam and conclude with Chakrasnanam on September 23. Vahana Sevas will be conducted daily between 8 am and 10 am and again between 7 pm and 9 pm.

The Additional Executive Officer informed that VIP break darshan stands cancelled for all categories during Brahmotsavams, except for protocol dignitaries. Darshan for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, parents with infants, NRIs and donors remains suspended.

Vigilance and Police departments are tasked with ensuring stringent security measures, traffic regulation, clear route mapping and adequate parking facilities. He said Anna prasadam distribution must be arranged at queue lines, Mada Street galleries and other key locations to serve continuous food to devotees. Additional sanitation staff shall be deployed to ensure cleanliness of public toilets and facilities. He told them to encourage youth participation for enlisting volunteers as Srivari Sevaks.

Venkaiah Chowdary informed that two-wheelers will be prohibited on Tirumala ghat roads from 9 pm from September 18 to 6am on September 20. The officials were told to maintain adequate buffer stock of Srivari laddus to meet anticipated demand.

TTD Chief Engineer Satya Narayana, Deputy EOs Lokanatham, Bhaskar, Sri Rajendra, and Somanna Narayana, Garden Deputy Director Srinivasulu, CMO Dr Kusuma Kumari, DE Chandra Sekhar, VGO Surendra, Catering Special Officer GLN Sastry and other senior officials attended the meeting.
