DistrictCollector Himanshu Shukla has directed the officials to ensure effective implementation of the Central government’s newly introduced Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) (VB-G RAM G Act) for the benefit of rural poor.

Addressing an awareness programme on VB-G RAM G Act, organised by District Water Management Agency (DWMA) at the Collectorate here on Thursday, the Collector stressed the need to implement the scheme effectively at grassroots level, which aims to prevent labor from migrating to other places in search of livelihood. M Rajeswari, Director at Ministry of Rural Development, explained the key features of VB-G RAM G Act, including the latest reforms and policy changes introduced by the Central government. She discussed various aspects of the scheme’s implementation and clarified doubts of the participants. Earlier, DWMA Project Director CS Srinivas Prasad gave a PowerPoint presentation outlining the implementation strategy of the scheme in the district.

Deputy Director Isha and Section Officer Asha Wahane from Union Ministry of Rural Development, DRDA Project Director Nagaraja Kumari, DWMA officials and others participated in the programme.
