FormerTelangana BJP Kisan Morcha president Kondapalli Sridhar Reddy on Thursday accused the Congress and BRS of spreading misinformation about the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and urged political parties to cooperate with the exercise being undertaken by the Election Commission of India.

Participating in the SIR enumeration process at polling booth No 127 in Yedulapuram Municipality under the Palair Assembly constituency, Sridhar Reddy said the primary objective of the exercise was to ensure that electoral rolls remain transparent, error-free and inclusive of all eligible voters.

He alleged that the Congress, BRS and certain other political parties were indulging in “Goebbels-style propaganda” to mislead the public about the revision process, describing such campaigns as irresponsible.

He appealed to all eligible voters to verify their details in the electoral rolls, submit the required documents wherever necessary, and actively cooperate with the ongoing enumeration process.

He also urged the Congress and BRS to refrain from spreading misconceptions and instead extend support to the Election Commission’s legally mandated exercise, stating that every citizen should contribute to strengthening India’s democratic institutions.
