Roadsand Buildings Minister BC Janardhan Reddy on Thursday stated that the Andhra Pradesh Government is committed to the comprehensive development of the Banaganapalle constituency under the leadership of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

Addressing the “Mee Bhoomi–Mee Hakku” programme alongside Nandyal MP Byreddy Shabari and District Collector G Raja Kumari, the Minister outlined an extensive infrastructure and industrial blueprint. He announced the sanctioning of a local RTO office and noted that the Banaganapalle bypass road is now 70% complete. Furthermore, a 41-km underground drainage network is underway with a completion target set for December. Janardhan Reddy added that village-level development works worth up to ₹1 crore are being executed utilizing MGNREGS and DMFT funds, while an AutoTech industry is slated to commence operations soon. To boost agriculture, he has urged the Chief Minister to strengthen water supply to the Srisailam Right Branch Canal (SRBC) lower canals, which would benefit 25,000 acres of ayacut.

Nandyal MP Byreddy Shabari highlighted strategic efforts to transform Rayalaseema from a drought-prone region into a thriving horticulture and industrial hub, focusing on cold-chain infrastructure to support six lakh local farmers. District Collector G Raja Kumari reported that land reforms are moving on a fast track. New Pattadar Passbooks have already been distributed to 1.10 lakh farmers across 203 villages.

The administration aims to complete the re-survey of eight lakh acres by December, ensuring full passbook distribution to all eligible farmers by March 2027.
