MandalAgriculture Officer Ramakrishna conducted surprise inspections of fertiliser shops in Kagaznagar on Wednesday and directed dealers to sell fertilisers only at government-fixed prices.

He warned that strict action, including cancellation of licences, would be taken against dealers found charging rates above the prescribed prices.

The officer said adequate fertiliser stocks were available at all centres to ensure uninterrupted supply to farmers.

He also urged farmers to report any instances of overpricing to the Agriculture Department immediately.
