ITDA Utnoor Project Officer Manda Makarand said that special measures would be taken to address the rehabilitation issues of tribals from Nachchan Ellapur village in Kadam mandal. He made the assurance during a special meeting held with Gond tribals at the ITDA office in Utnoor on Wednesday.

During the meeting, tribal representatives highlighted several concerns related to rehabilitation, land rights, cultivation of agricultural lands, and livelihood challenges.

They explained the difficulties they had been facing for years and sought government intervention for a permanent solution.

The Project Officer patiently heard their grievances, examined the petitions submitted by them, and reviewed issues concerning land identification, rehabilitation procedures, and access to government welfare facilities.

Addressing the gathering, Makarand stated that the government was giving top priority to tribal welfare and development. He assured the participants that the issues raised would be brought to the attention of senior officials, including the District Collector, District Forest Officer (DFO), and Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), for appropriate action.

He said all matters related to tribal rehabilitation would be examined thoroughly and resolved in accordance with government rules and regulations. Makarand reiterated ITDA’s commitment to protecting tribal rights, improving living standards, and ensuring justice for affected families.

Former MP Soyam Bapu Rao, ITDA officials, staff members, Gond tribals from Kadam mandal, and other representatives attended the meeting.
