UnionMinister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar assured students of the Government Medical College, Karimnagar, that their long-pending infrastructure issues would be addressed on priority. A delegation of medical students met the Minister at his MP office on Wednesday and submitted a representation highlighting several challenges faced on the campus.

The students raised concerns over frequent power outages affecting classes, the absence of a generator, inadequate sanitation facilities for female students at the District Government Hospital, and the need for better academic and sports infrastructure. Responding promptly, Bandi Sanjay directed his office staff to take steps for arranging a generator at the earliest to ensure uninterrupted academic activities.

He also assured students that toilets for women medical students would be constructed through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. The Minister stated that proposals for a modern auditorium and sports stadium would be taken up after ongoing infrastructure works were completed.

Later, during a visit to Choppadandi, Bandi Sanjay inspected a Jan Aushadhi Kendra and encouraged people to make use of affordable medicines available under the Central government scheme.

He also reviewed a solar power plant and called upon cooperative societies across Telangana to establish similar projects under the PM-KUSUM scheme, highlighting their potential to generate substantial annual income and promote sustainable energy development.
