Penuganchiproluand Ibrahimpatnam Aspirational Blocks in NTR District are steadily progressing towards becoming Inspirational Blocks through coordinated efforts by various departments, said National Water Mission Director and Central Prabhari Officer Nelapatla Ashok Babu on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media after reviewing developmental activities in Penuganchiprolu Mandal, Ashok Babu said Penuganchiprolu had already achieved 100 per cent progress in 27 of the 38 key indicators identified under the Aspirational Blocks Programme.

Efforts are being intensified to achieve the targets in the remaining 11 indicators at the earliest, he added.

The Central Prabhari Officer visited the Ayushman Arogya Mandir at Gummadidurru village, interacted with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) at Lingagudem village, and inspected the Anganwadi Centre at Thotacherla.

He also visited the GKPK Innovative Hub at Sanagapadu and reviewed the use of modern technologies in providing services to farmers.

He said special focus is being given to improving SSC pass percentages, groundwater recharge, implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission, healthcare and nutrition indicators.
