<lang class="3" style=".Bodylaser" font="Minion Pro" fontStyle="Regular" size="9">The government has decided to raise the DA by 1.621 per cent, increasing it from 17.651 per cent to 19.272 per cent. This DA hike will result in an additional financial burden of approximately Rs 9.35 crore per month on the government, directly benefiting 70,804 power sector employees and pensioners. The Deputy Chief Minister expressed satisfaction that uninterrupted power supply was maintained even when consumption reached a record 341 million units on March 13, 2026. According to projections, peak power demand will reach 34,137 MW by 2035–36, nearly doubling the current peak of 18,548 MW, whilst annual requirements will rise to 152,626 million units. As the monsoon approaches, he directed officials of regional distribution and transmission corporations to remain fully prepared, instructing field-level staff to stay highly vigilant.</lang>
