New Delhi:Aluminium prices rose slightly by Rs 1.85 to Rs 359.30 per kilogram in futures trade as speculators built up fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market. The price of aluminium for delivery in June delivery edged up 0.52 per cent in 193 lots. Analysts said fresh positions created by traders amid demand from consuming industries supported aluminium prices.

Copper futures climb on spot demand

Copper futures rose by Rs 1.70 to Rs 1,339.30 per kg due to higher spot demand. Copper contracts for June delivery grew 0.13 per cent in 836 lots. Analysts attributed the rise in copper prices to higher bets by participants.

Zinc futures up on high bets

Zinc prices rose marginally by 75 paise to Rs 366.95 per kg in futures trade on higher bets by participants. Zinc contracts for June delivery edged up 0.2 per cent I 256 lots. Traders attributed the rise in zinc futures to higher spot demand.
