YSRCP president Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed party constituency coordinators and regional in-charges to remain on high alert during the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, describing the next four weeks as crucial for protecting genuine voters from deletion.

At a review meeting with senior party leaders at the YSRCP central office in Tadepalli, Jagan instructed coordinators to closely monitor the electoral roll revision process on a daily basis, immediately report irregularities to election authorities, and escalate unresolved issues to the party headquarters.

He said the deletion of a genuine voter during the SIR process could be difficult to reverse and stressed the need for continuous vigilance at the grassroots level.

Jagan alleged that the ruling government was attempting to remove YSRCP supporters from electoral rolls through administrative means and claimed that efforts were being made to alter voter lists ahead of future elections. He urged constituency coordinators, Booth Level Agents and party workers to ensure that no genuine voter is removed from the rolls.

Calling voter protection the party’s top organisational priority, Jagan directed the cadre to treat the electoral revision exercise as a mission to safeguard democratic rights and maintain constant field-level monitoring until the process is completed.
