AnaparthiMLA and State Convener of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) Committee, Nallamilli Ramakrishna Reddy, said that public welfare, preservation of cultural heritage, and development have remained the key objectives of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government since 2014. He claimed that “90% of the people in the country have expressed satisfaction with Narendra Modi’s 12 years of governance.”

Addressing a media conference here on Tuesday, Reddy said the defence sector had been significantly strengthened after Modi assumed office. He stated that terrorist activities had declined and that citizens were living in a safer environment. He also remarked that the country was moving towards becoming free from Naxalite influence.

He said major infrastructure projects were being implemented under the Bharatmala and Setu Bharatam programmes, thereby expanding the national highway network. “The introduction of Vande Bharat trains has transformed the railway system, while railway stations across the country are being modernised rapidly under the Amrit Bharat scheme,” he said.

Reddy further stated that the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant was functioning successfully and that the establishment of the Visakhapatnam Railway Zone had fulfilled a long-standing aspiration of the people of North Andhra. He noted that food security was being provided to more than 80 crore people across the country. Highlighting welfare initiatives, he said that four crore houses had been constructed for the poor and assistance had been extended for the construction of 12 crore toilets. He also stated that loans had been provided to around 50 lakh small entrepreneurs through the Mudra Yojana without the need for surety.

Speaking on the occasion, BJP State Spokesperson Peddireddy Ravikiran said that the number of airports in the country had increased from 65 in 2014 to 160 at present. He added that India, which ranked as the world’s 11th largest economy in 2014, had now risen to the fourth position globally. BJP Kakinada District President Bikkina Visweswara Rao, State General Secretary Saligrama Lakshmi Prasanna, and senior leaders E Malakondayya and Duvvuri Subrahmanyam were among those present.
