TheAndhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) has made elaborate arrangements to facilitate hassle-free travel for students appearing for the NEET-UG re-examination scheduled to be held on June 21. Announcing the arrangements on Tuesday, APSRTC executive director (operations) Gadde Nageswara Rao said the corporation, in accordance with the directions of the state government, would provide free bus travel to all students appearing for the examination.

He said candidates can avail the facility by producing their NEET hall ticket while travelling from their place of residence to the examination centre and on the return journey after the examination. He said the free travel facility would be available in Express, Ultra Pallevelugu, Pallevelugu, Metro Express and City Ordinary bus services across the State.

To ensure students reach their examination centres on time, APSRTC has instructed all zones, regions and depots to operate adequate services on examination routes and from major traffic-generating points. Additional buses will be deployed wherever necessary based on passenger demand.

Special help desks will be set up at major bus stations to guide students, while supervisory staff will monitor operations and arrange additional services wherever required. Strict instructions have also been issued to maintain punctual services, particularly in rural areas, and ensure that no scheduled services are cancelled on the examination day.

Nageswara Rao urged students and parents to plan their journeys in advance and make use of the free travel facility.
