ChiefMinister Revanth Reddy will officially open the first Telangana Public School (TPS) in Arutla, Rangareddy district, on Wednesday.

This new institution is equipped with cutting-edge facilities, designed to compete with those found in private educational establishments, and is poised to spark a significant transformation in Telangana’s educational landscape.

The Chief Minister will tour the school’s modern amenities, including its digital classrooms, library, science laboratories, dining area, and sports facilities.

A crucial part of his visit will involve a dedicated session with students, educators, and school committee members to gather their valuable feedback.

He will also share a breakfast meal with the students. The Chief Minister will later address a large public gathering at the same location.

In pursuit of elevating public education to the same standard as the state’s private institutions, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy established a unique Education Commission, a first of its kind in the nation, to solicit recommendations for enhancing the education sector.

The Arutla facility offers an international standard of education, catering to students from nursery through the intermediate level. Beyond academic excellence, there is a strong emphasis on developing students through sports, cultural activities, and personality enhancement programs.

Students enrolled in Telangana Public Schools will benefit from complimentary bus transportation and receive free meals, including breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks. Instruction will be delivered in English. With its contemporary teaching methodologies and advanced technological infrastructure, the Telangana Public School stands as a benchmark for education in the state, aimed at restoring and bolstering public trust in government-run schools.

Four schools have been initially selected for the Telangana Public School initiative. The first phase includes schools located in Arutla and Manchala, both in Ranga Reddy district, and Vangur and Polkampalli, which were formerly part of Mahabubnagar district.

The government has outlined a strategic plan to gradually extend the ‘Telangana Public School’ model across the state, with an ambitious goal of establishing 100 such schools in a phased rollout.
