TheBharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) on Tuesday conducted an awareness programme for booth committee members on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and the party’s digital membership registration drive at Telangana Bhavan in Khammam.

Former minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, BRS Khammam district in-charge and MLC Takkellapalli Ravinder, and Khammam Assembly constituency in-charge Enugula Rakesh Reddy attended the meeting as chief guests.

The programme was organized for booth committee members from Raghunathapalem mandal, Khanapuram Haveli mandal, and Khammam Two Town area to create awareness on the voter list revision process and digital membership enrolment.

Addressing the gathering, Puvvada and Takkellapalli said booth committee members have a key responsibility in safeguarding every eligible vote. They urged party workers to thoroughly understand the SIR process and assist voters in completing the required formalities without difficulty.

The leaders advised booth-level workers to help voters obtain necessary documents wherever required and ensure that relevant details are verified and submitted within the stipulated time. They also called for immediate identification and rectification of any discrepancies in the electoral rolls.

Puvvada said the BRS leadership would remain fully accessible to party cadres and the public until the completion of the SIR exercise. He announced that review meetings would be held once every fifteen days to monitor the implementation of the process and address issues arising at the grassroots level.

The former minister stressed that no eligible voter should be left out of the electoral rolls and called upon booth committee members to discharge their responsibilities diligently. He said every vote is valuable and that grassroots workers play a crucial role in protecting democratic processes.
