BRS leader Manne Krishank on Tuesday strongly condemned the actions of Secunderabad Cantonment Board officials for allegedly threatening poor families residing in Ambedkar Huts to vacate their homes within just 15 days. The action was initiated without issuing prior notices, deploying bulldozers despite residents having lived there for nearly 40 years. Krishank met the local residents, who were gripped by fear and anxiety after seeing officials arrive with heavy machinery for possible demolition activities, and listened to their concerns. He assured them that the BRS would stand firmly with the poor and provide all necessary assistance to pursue legal remedies, including filing a petition in court and securing a stay order against any eviction or demolition.

Krishank stated that KTRwas informed about the arrival of bulldozers and the situation faced by the residents, assuring that all possible legal support would be extended to the affected families. He noted it is unjust to throw families who have lived there for four decades onto the streets overnight, adding that demolishing homes without alternative rehabilitation goes against humanity.

He criticized the Congress Government, stating that nearly three years have passed since it assumed office, yet not a single Indiramma House has been constructed in Hyderabad.
