TheBRS has almost completed the constituency wise meetings in the city and also in the rural areas creating awareness on the SIR (Special Intensive Revision) to the party cadres and also people.

While the party’s Working President KT Rama Rao has been holding the meetings in the city, BRSLP Deputy Leader T Harish Rao taking the responsibilities of the rural constituencies.

The party had started the constituency wise meetings from the Serilingampally Assembly constituency and completed the exercise in majority of the constituencies except for the constituencies in the Old City.

While the meetings were to prepare the party leaders for the ensuing civic elections in the city, it turned into a mechanism to educate the cadres on the SIR exercise. The party primary agenda of these meetings was to educate the workers about the SIR activity, which is going to start from June 25 in Telangana.

The BRS working president KT Rama Rao has been cautioning the party cadre to be alert on the SIR exercise. In his successive meetings, the BRS leader asked the Booth Level Agents to keep an eye on the exercise.

He also wanted them to check the details of dead voters and ensure they are deleted. Giving an example of the Jubilee Hills constituency, he wanted the agents to be alert on fictitious names.

BRSLP Deputy Leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav, who also had convened a few meetings, called upon party members to remain vigilant regarding the SIR programme.

He said that the right to vote is a constitutional privilege and warned that the SIR programme presents a potential risk of votes being illegally removed from the electoral rolls.

He noted that allegations and criticisms regarding the SIR programme were emerging from across the country. Citing the possibility of illegal vote removals, he called upon them to create public awareness to prevent such irregularities from occurring.

BRSLP Deputy Leader Harish Rao has been focusing on the rural constituencies. He had visited Warangal a couple of days ago and on Tuesday he had a meeting with the Manakondur constituency.

He wanted the party leaders to actively participate in the upcoming Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. He explained that the process would involve door-to-door verification until July 25.

Family grouping based on earlier voter records would be undertaken. Booth Level Officers would conduct field verification. Citizens whose names are missing can submit supporting documents and seek inclusion.

Political parties have been officially included in the process and BRS Booth Level Agents should assist voters. He called upon party workers to ensure that no genuine voter, particularly BRS supporters and sympathisers, is left out of the electoral rolls.

He urged the leaders to remain united, strengthen the party at the grassroots level and prepare for future electoral battles while exposing what he described as the failures of the Congress government.
