Mysuru :In a major boost for job seekers across Mysuru district, a mega job fair is set to be organized in Periyapatna under the leadership of Mysuru-Kodagu MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar. The event is being jointly organized by the District Employment Exchange Office, Mysuru, and BGS Educational Institutions, Periyapatna.
The job fair aims to connect eligible youth with employment opportunities across various sectors and will be open to candidates free of cost. Organizers expect participation from numerous companies looking to recruit candidates with different educational qualifications.
The Mega Job Fair will be held on June 24, 2026 (Wednesday) from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm at BGS Educational Institutions, Abbur village, Periyapatna taluk in Mysuru district.
Candidates who have completed SSLC, PUC, ITI, Diploma, Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses are eligible to participate. The organizers have specified that applicants between 18 and 35 years of age can take advantage of the recruitment drive.
Officials said the event has been planned with the objective of providing employment opportunities to young men and women from Mysuru, Kodagu and neighbouring districts. Several private companies are expected to conduct interviews and shortlist suitable candidates on the spot.

Bengaluru:Biocon Founder and Executive Chairperson Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw on Tuesday said Chief Minister D K Shivakumar is committed to the state’s growth and expressed support for his vision to transform Bengaluru into a world-class city and Karnataka into a leading state. Speaking after a meeting of Bengaluru’s honorary consuls with the Chief Minister, Mazumdar-Shaw said the group backed the Chief Minister’s new initiatives required to develop Bengaluru into a world-class city.
“I think the Chief Minister is very committed to developing not just Bengaluru, but Karnataka, and making it both a world-class city and a leading state in the country,” she told reporters here. Praising Shivakumar’s commitment to infrastructure development, she cited projects such as the proposed tunnel road, elevated corridors, the Peripheral Ring Road (PRR), and improvements to the Outer Ring Road (ORR), for which a special budgetary allocation has been made.
