Ongole:District collector P Raja Babu and Santhanuthalapadu MLA BN Vijay Kumar launched the ‘Operation Clean Sweep’ programme at the Prakasam Collectorate here on Saturday.The drive is part of the government’s initiative, ‘One State One Sanitation Goal.’ The four-week programme started on Saturday. The first week will focus on clearing garbage from red spots and yellow spots. The second week will cover drains and drainage systems. The third week will address residential and commercial areas.

The fourth week will target public toilets and government offices. The Collector and the MLA swept the road from the Collectorate to the Nellore Bus Stand center. The Collector also spoke to street vendors and residents near the bus stand about the importance of keeping the surroundings clean.
