VuyyuruMunicipal Commissioner Manda Subhash Chandra Bose on Saturday organised the state government’s prestigious special sanitation programme “Operation Clean Sweep” near the Vishnu Temple in Vuyyuru town. As part of the initiative, sanitation workers carried out extensive cleaning and waste removal operations in three locations, particularly in the 9th and 10th wards. In the remaining 18 wards, sanitary secretaries led the sanitation activities with the cooperation of local residents. Speaking on the occasion, Commissioner Bose emphasised that sanitation is the responsibility of every citizen and urged people to maintain cleanliness in their surroundings and cooperate with municipal staff by avoiding littering.

He said segregation of wet and dry waste at the source would help improve waste management efficiency. He said the main objective of the programme was to protect public health and ensure a clean and hygienic environment across the municipality.
