Ina massive undertaking, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy performed Bhoomi Puja along with Kanchi Kamakoti Peethadhipathi Jagadguru Sri Shankara Vijayendra Saraswati Swamy for the construction of the largest Vedic school complex in Telangana within the Yadagirigutta Temple premises.

Foundation stones for development works worth Rs 99.55 crore were also laid at the temple. During his visit on Saturday, Revanth offered special prayers to Lord Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy. Temple chief priests, Vedic scholars, and archakas later blessed him, while the Endowments Principal Secretary, Commissioner, and temple Executive Officer presented him with a portrait of the deity.

Along with the Vedic school, foundation stones were laid for several temple-related development works aimed at developing Yadagirigutta Temple City on the lines of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams.

The Vedic school, estimated at Rs 43.80 crore and spread across 15 acres, will provide traditional Gurukul-style Vedic education with residential facilities for 300 students. The complex will also include special halls for conducting homams and yagnas, along with a goshala.

The Chief Minister also laid foundation stones for dormitory halls and accommodation facilities for devotees at a cost of Rs 43.12 crore, a grand Kalyana Mandapam worth Rs 9.87 crore for conducting daily celestial weddings of the deity, a protective roof over the stairway from Vaikuntha Dwaram to the hilltop at a cost of Rs 1.41 crore, and new stairway construction connecting Mada streets near Rathashala at an estimated cost of Rs 1.35 crore.

However, controversy arose as no district officials were reportedly present to receive the Chief Minister when his helicopter landed at Peddagutta for the Vedic school foundation ceremony. Due to this, the Chief Minister and other ministers had to wait inside the helicopter for nearly 15 minutes before proceeding with the programme.

The event was attended by Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukender Reddy, Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Konda Surekha, and Adluri Laxman Kumar, along with Rajya Sabha MP V Narender Reddy, MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, Government Whips Beerla Ilaiah and Anil Kumar Reddy, District Collector Anurag Jayanti, and senior officials.
