Acclaimed filmmaker Pandiraj has opened up about the fast-paced shooting schedule of his upcoming Tamil entertainer Parimala & Co, revealing that the film was completed in just 45 days.

The director made the revelation during the film’s pre-release event after veteran actress Urvashi praised the team for finishing the project in record time. She pointed out that while Malayalam films are usually known for short shooting schedules, Pandiraaj managed to complete his Tamil film even faster.

Responding to the appreciation, Pandiraaj clarified that the film was shot in 45 days, although the total could technically be considered around 60 days if double call-sheet schedules were counted separately.

He credited the achievement entirely to his cast and crew, especially the actors, whom he described as “one-take artistes.”

According to the director, working with performers who deliver scenes efficiently naturally helped the production move at a brisk pace without compromising quality.

Parimala & Co, which marks Pandiraaj’s 12th directorial venture, is said to be a blend of thriller and comedy elements. The film stars Jayaram and Urvashi in lead roles and revolves around a family and the unique personalities and problems faced by its members.

Industry sources reveal that the story begins in Chennai before shifting to locations such as Coimbatore and Palacode as the narrative progresses.

The film also features Santhosh Sobhan in a pivotal role alongside Sanchana Krishnamoorthy, Sandy, and Ananthika Sanalkumar. Popular comedian Yogi Babu reportedly plays a lengthy and significant role throughout the film.

Director Mysskin will also be seen portraying a police officer, while comedians Singam Puli and Baks appear in important supporting roles. The film is jointly produced by Lyca Productions, Tamilkumaran Productions, and Pandiraaj’s Pasanga Productions.
