ParakalaMLA Revuri Prakash Reddy on Thursday asserted that the State government, under the leadership of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, is moving forward with public welfare as its primary objective, rather than focusing solely on economic growth. He emphasised that strengthening the financial and social stability of present-day families would lay a robust foundation for future generations.

Addressing the district-level ‘Prajapalana Pragati Pranalika’ programme here on Friday, the MLA outlined the government’s welfare-driven agenda.

He stated that the government aims to ensure holistic growth for every family across all sectors. “The core idea behind these schemes is to reduce the financial burden on people and enhance their savings, thereby strengthening household economies,” he said. He highlighted that initiatives such as free bus travel for women, establishment of solar plants, low-interest loans, and interest-free credit facilities are significantly contributing to women’s empowerment and economic upliftment.

He announced that, in addition to the mid-day meal scheme, breakfast facilities would soon be extended to students from primary to high school levels. The government has also increased diet and cosmetic charges to ensure better nutrition and overall well-being of students, he noted. Urging parents to enrol their children in government schools, he said experienced and well-trained teachers are available in these institutions.
