Cadetsof the 5 Andhra Girls Battalion NCC at NCC Nagar in Tirupati attended an expert talk on Disaster Management delivered by General Manager of Tirupati Smart City Corporation VR Chandra Mouli. The programme was organised as part of the battalion’s initiative to expose cadets to eminent personalities from civil administration, public service and governance, helping them understand national service beyond the military domain.

During his address, Chandra Mouli highlighted the importance of disaster preparedness, inter-agency coordination and effective delivery of relief and essential services during emergencies. He also explained the key aspects of the National Disaster Management framework and its implementation at the grassroots level.

Commanding Officer Colonel Anuj Wadhwa said such interactions help shape service-oriented young citizens and broaden cadets’ understanding of national service. He said that though the NCC is fundamentally a military training organisation, it is equally committed to nurturing cadets who understand the full spectrum of national service, both in uniform and beyond.
