TheRailway Ministry has approved a stoppage at Piduguralla railway station for Lingampalli–Vijayawada Intercity Express (Train Nos 12796/12795), bringing major relief to commuters and residents of Palnadu region, according to Narasaraopet MP Lavu Sri Krishnadevarayulu .

He said that this long-pending demand of passengers, employees, students, and businesspersons has finally been fulfilled following continuous efforts to improve rail connectivity in the region. The stoppage is expected to significantly benefit hundreds of daily commuters travelling towards Hyderabad and Vijayawada, particularly during peak morning and evening hours when train availability has been limited.

Recognising the transportation difficulties faced by Palnadu residents, the MP took up the matter with Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and urged approval for a stoppage of the Intercity Express at Piduguralla station. Responding positively to the request, the Railway Ministry granted approval for the stoppage.

Expressing gratitude, he thanked Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw for his prompt response and support in addressing the concerns of Palnadu commuters. He further stated that the stoppage of the popular “Employees Train” at Piduguralla will provide substantial convenience to employees commuting daily, students travelling for higher education, businesspersons, and passengers from Palnadu and surrounding areas. He added that the Railway Ministry is expected to officially announce the date of implementation and complete stoppage timings shortly.

Train schedule details of train No 12796 (Lingampalli – Vijayawada): Departs daily from Lingampalli at 4:40 am, passes through Secunderabad at 5:20 am, and arrives in Vijayawada at 10:35 am. Train No 12795 (Vijayawada – Lingampalli): Departs daily from Vijayawada at 5:30 pm and reaches Lingampalli at 11:35 pm.
