StateEndowments Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy has stated that the Sri Sita Rama Anjaneya Swamy temple under construction at the Atmakur TIDCO colony will emerge as a benchmark model for identical spiritual projects across residential clusters in Andhra Pradesh.

The Minister, alongside senior municipal engineers and local public representatives, inspected the ongoing civil construction works in Atmakur town on Friday to review construction speed and structural quality.

Speaking to the media after the inspection, Minister Ramanarayana Reddy announced that nearly 80 percent of the structural work has already been finalized.

The temple is being executed with a sanctioned budget of ₹40 lakh and holds the unique distinction of being the very first shrine nearing completion under the government’s state-wide Sreevani Bhajana Mandir initiative. He detailed that under the explicit directions of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, the state has proposed the construction of over 5,000 such community temples, with funds already cleared and foundations laid for more than 1,000 locations.

Financial assistance under the welfare scheme ranges strictly between ₹10 lakh and ₹40 lakh depending on the locality needs.

A standout green feature of the Atmakur temple complex will be the development of a specialized “Nakshatra Vanam” (Star Garden).

This botanical setup will preserve and showcase 27 sacred plants and trees linked directly to the 27 traditional constellations of Hindu tradition, aiming to pass down deep cultural knowledge to future generations.

The Minister emphasized that the primary goal is to provide a serene, spiritually enriching environment within housing colonies built for economically weaker sections.

The completed temple complex will be officially inaugurated soon by Municipal Administration Minister Ponguru Narayana, alongside a slate of new civic infrastructure and development amenities for Atmakur town.
