NelloreMunicipal Corporation (NMC) Commissioner YO Nandan conducted a comprehensive field inspection of sanitation and urban development works across key city areas on Friday, including Achari Street, the old Zilla Parishad office, and the Madras Bus Stand Center. During the visit, the Commissioner reviewed the alignment markings for the crucial road widening project running from the Madras Bus Stand to the District Collectorate. He directed town planning and engineering officials to ensure all construction works are completed within the stipulated timeframe without compromising on quality standards. Turning to civic hygiene, Nandan instructed the municipal staff to regularly undertake the desilting of drainage canals and ensure the immediate removal of accumulated waste to prevent waterlogging. Senior officials, including Deputy Engineer Raghuram, Assistant City Planner Satish, and regional sanitation supervisors, participated in the joint inspection.
