RenownedAyurveda expert Acharya Balkrishna was honoured with the “I AM PEACEKEEPER – Champion Health Award 2026” at the Billionaires for Peace Conclave 2026 held in Mumbai on Wednesday. The award recognises his outstanding contribution to global wellness, humanitarian service, peacebuilding and the promotion of holistic healthcare through Ayurveda.

The honour marks another major milestone for Ayurveda and India’s traditional healthcare systems, which are increasingly gaining global recognition. Through his leadership and scientific approach, Acharya Balkrishna has played a key role in transforming Ayurveda from a traditional healing practice into a globally acknowledged system supported by modern research and evidence-based studies. Under his guidance, Patanjali Ayurved has actively worked towards presenting ancient Indian wisdom through contemporary scientific validation. Speaking after receiving the award, Acharya Balkrishna said healthy individuals form the foundation of peaceful societies and strong nations. He described Ayurveda as a complete science of life that promotes balance, positivity and overall wellbeing. Referring to India’s philosophy of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”, he said the world is increasingly looking towards India for sustainable solutions to peace and holistic health.

He also highlighted the growing challenges posed by stress, lifestyle disorders and modern health issues, saying that nature-centric living and India’s ancient wisdom can offer meaningful solutions. According to him, Yoga and Ayurveda can help create not only a disease-free world but also a stress-free and conflict-free society.

Calling the award a collective recognition, Acharya Balkrishna dedicated it to India’s cultural heritage, the timeless science of Ayurveda and all those who have embraced natural living. The conclave brought together Nobel Peace Prize laureates, policymakers, spiritual leaders and global thinkers to discuss peace, human welfare and sustainable development.
