A woman has accused her husband, in-laws, and sister-in-law of subjecting her to severe harassment for additional dowry and forcing her out of the house. Seeking justice, the woman approached the police station. However, she alleged that Penpahad SI Gopikrishna did not support her and instead reacted angrily toward her.

According to the victim, she was married to Bhanu Prakash, a resident of Kummarabanda Thanda in Chilkur mandal of Suryapet district.

She stated that serious disputes had been occurring in the family for the past four months. Her husband, along with her in-laws and sister-in-law, allegedly demanded additional dowry, physically assaulted her, and forced her to leave the house.

She made serious allegations that the SI had an illicit relationship with her sister-in-law and therefore favoured the accused family members. According to her, the police officer registered the FIR only as a formality and failed to conduct a proper investigation.

The victim claimed that whenever she approached the SI for justice, he insulted and threatened her instead of helping. She demanded that higher authorities intervene, examine phone records to uncover the truth.
