The state government is keen on launching the scheme on June 2. In the wake of the opposition Bharat Rashtra Samithi party’s strong criticism on the slow pace of paddy procurement, the Chief Minister and Ministers will review the status of the procurement and take some corrective measures. The situation with regard to maize procurement would also be reviewed at the Cabinet meeting. The construction of irrigation projects, integrated residential educational institutions as well as road development projects would also be reviewed.
