TelanganaPradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President B Mahesh Kumar Goud appealed to Congress workers to remain calm and composed following the broadcast of what he described as a fabricated news report targeting him and the party in a section of media.

In a message addressed to party cadre, Mahesh Kumar Goud stated that a television channel had aired false and misleading reports throughout the day with the intention of damaging his personal reputation and creating confusion within the party ranks.

He acknowledged that the reports had triggered anger and disappointment among Congress workers but urged them not to react emotionally.

Emphasising the Congress party’s commitment to democratic and constitutional values, he said the party respects both freedom of the press and freedom of expression. At the same time, he asserted that media narratives cannot determine the party’s strength or performance.

Mahesh Kumar Goud reminded workers that it is the party cadre--not media organizations--that ultimately evaluates and shapes the party’s performance and public standing.
