Hyderabad: Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Ranga Reddy on Friday launched a sharp attack on BRS senior leader and former Minister T. Harish Rao, describing his comments on the Pharma City project as “shameless” and warning of strong public backlash against the opposition party.

The MLA said that the people had already rejected the BRS in the past elections due to the controversial Pharma City proposal and asserted that the party would not regain public support. He alleged that despite this, BRS leaders were continuing to make statements aimed at reviving the project.

Referring to Harish Rao’s remarks from the US, Malreddy said the former minister had suggested scrapping the proposed “Future City” project and reviving Pharma City instead. He strongly objected to these comments and challenged Harish Rao to return to Telangana and substantiate his claims regarding the Congress government’s policies.
